Class Descriptions:
Worship Dance (12-adult)
We will use the book: "Dance! God's Holy Purpose", by Dr. Ann Stevenson, to see what Scripture has to say about the place of dance in the church and learn to grow as worshippers in both spontaneous and choreographed dances. This class is 1/3rd book study, 1/3rd warm-up, and 1/3rd putting into practice. Option to purchase book for $10. Instructor: Holly Hibbert.
Interpretive Movement & Dance (12 to adult)
Modern dance warm-up and creative movement activities to expand repertoire of expression. Bible and other artistic texts will be our source for embodied responses through individual and interactive exercises. Emphasis on process rather than performance. No dance experience needed--just a willingness to participate!

Teen/Adult Ballet I (12 - adult)
Learn the basics of this lovely art form, which develops poise for other forms of worship dance. Technique for beginners. Instructor: Holly Hibbert.
Teen/Adult Ballet II (12 - adult)
Continue in the discipline and joy of ballet technique. Previous ballet experience required. Instructor: Holly Hibbert.
Psalms and Stretches (12-adult)
Gentle stretches and Pilates core strengthening exercises integrated with breathing awareness in sequence with Psalm 23. Awaken your spirit, focus your mind; align, lengthen and tone your body. You emerge from the class feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. For adult women and teens. Instructor: Holly Hibbert.
Tippy Toes for Jesus (children ages 4-11)
Stretches, fun ballet movements and dances for brand new beginners as well as children with some ballet experience. Provides children with ballet instruction to instill their movements with grace and beauty. Multiple class levels are now available -- contact us to assign your child to the appropriate level. Light a Fire Dance Troupe (teens)
Learn choreographed worship dances and minister in the community. Beginner to intermediate/advanced choreography with some dance instruction. (Ages 11-16, with exceptions depending upon skill level). Leader: Hannah Miller. For more information emial: hannah@lightafirestudio.com
Instructor Biographies:
Holly Hibbert has been studying a breadth of dance forms for over twenty years. Her passion is to see the Body of Christ fully alive and whole--"dancing" a life of worship to the Lord in spirit and truth--and to play an active role as a minister in the service of God's healing and transforming life in the local area and beyond. With her extensive dance experience, she blends excellence in teaching technique with creativity in movement to spark the imaginations and inspire her students toward greater fullness of health in body, soul, and spirit.

Hannah Miller has taught Tippy Toes for Jesus the past two years. She studied ballet for five years at the Seneca School of Ballet, and studied previously at the Community School of Music and Arts. She has also studied in intensive workshops with Ashley Rollinson, Keisha Clarke, and Jean Mabry. Hannah enjoys introducing young children to the joys of dancing and celebrating the Lord in dance.
